On Monday, Nov. 25, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine will join the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber at its Salute To Elected Officials after hours to connect with hundreds of business and community leaders.
Salute To Elected Officials, to be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Grand Resort in Howland, first launched in 2012 with founding partners the Western Reserve Port Authority, Grand Resort and m.s. consultants, inc. to bring together local, state and federal government officials and their staffs and local business leaders and public policy advocates from around Ohio.
The Chamber and its partners and guests are honored to welcome Gov. DeWine to Salute and present a check to help continue to grow the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program across Ohio and cover the cost and distribution of books to children from birth through age 5.
The Governor and First Lady Fran DeWine have long promoted the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Ohio, which continues to have the most children enrolled among U.S. states. As of early 2024, more than 770,000 children in Ohio were currently participating in or had participated in the program during the past five years, with more than 15 million books mailed at no cost to families.
Guy Coviello, president & CEO of the Regional Chamber, said, “We are fortunate to have a governor who spends so much time in and focuses on our Valley, and we proudly support the Imagination Library, which will have a long-term impact on talent development.”
