On Thursday, Nov. 14, the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will expand its popular Salute To Elected Officials after-hours event to Ashtabula County, in partnership with county officials and business leaders.
The event in Ashtabula will mirror the Chamber’s longtime Salute after hours, held in Trumbull County each year, which has grown to sold-out crowds of more than 300 people and connects local, state and federal government officials and their staffs with local business leaders and public policy advocates from around Ohio.
Guy Coviello, president & CEO of the Regional Chamber, said, “We are excited to bring this event to our friends in Ashtabula County, as we continue to build partnerships in the Lake To River footprint. Salute To Elected Officials gives the business community more direct access to officials in an informal, relaxed setting.”
Ashtabula County Commissioner Casey Kozlowski echoed the sentiment, adding, “We are looking forward to the first Salute To Elected Officials Ashtabula and connecting with business and community leaders not only in our county but also among the Regional Chamber’s membership in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties.”
Salute To Elected Officials Ashtabula, sponsored to date by FirstEnergy and Kent State University Ashtabula, will be held at the Lodge & Conference Center at Geneva on the Lake from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Ashtabula County Auditor David Thomas, who is running for the state representative seat in the 65th District and will be in attendance, noted, “We hope this is the first of many Salute To Elected Officials after hours we’ll hold in the county. We have an awesome opportunity to show off some of our wonderful amenities to our friends to the south and also build meaningful relationships over county lines that will result in a more successful future as we work together.”
Those interested in attending Salute To Elected Officials Ashtabula can register at regionalchamber.com. Cost is $10 per elected official and $35 per person.
