NEOCC Gives $10,000 to Chamber Foundation for Workforce Strategies

The Northeast Ohio Correctional Center (NEOCC) recently gifted $10,000 to the Regional Chamber Foundation to support the Chamber’s strategic efforts in growing the Valley’s workforce. NEOCC, located Hubbard, and its parent company CoreCivic, provide evidence-based programs such as educational, vocational, substance abuse and faith-based offerings that help inmates develop the skills and values they need to be successful when they leave prison.

The Mahoning Valley Young Professionals (MVYP) announced yesterday it will become an affiliate of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber as part of its ongoing reorganization to better serve the community. As an affiliate under the Regional Chamber umbrella, MVYP intends to unleash new programs to help local employers recruit and retain young professionals, integrate the region’s post-secondary students into the organization, invigorate its annual 25 Under 35 event and more.
